Trans Bhutan Trail, Marketing Manager

Eligibility – Bhutanese nationals

The Trans Bhutan Trail Project (TBT) will restore and reconnect the centuries old historic East-West path that runs across Central Bhutan. This trail will provide connection for local communities and educational opportunities for youth. It will also create an accessible, unique cultural and nature-based tourism experience.

If you a possess a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing and finance); have past experience in marketing (digital marketing an asset); are entrepreneurial; good to excellent understanding of trails and promoting a tourism brand; excellent project management including goal setting, meeting timelines and deliverables; ability to work in team setting and independently; ability to manage and support the Marketing Task Group; ability to connect and develop partnerships with relevant CSO’s including tourism organizations; excellent communication skills including ongoing community engagement; engaging with people from all backgrounds; ability to travel and not afraid to get muddy this job could be for you!

Trans Bhutan Trail, Research Assistant

Contract – 4 – 6 months
Eligibility – Bhutanese nationals

The Trans Bhutan Trail Project (TBT) will restore and reconnect the centuries old historic East-West path that runs across Central Bhutan. This trail will provide connection for local communities and educational opportunities for youth. It will also create an accessible, unique cultural and nature-based tourism experience.

Part of the TBT project is the design, development and implementation of a website and Passport program. In so doing, certain sections of the website require accurate historical information, data/storytelling regarding flora and fauna highlights; tales from elders; as well as cultural and religious information pertinent to locals and
visitors alike.

If you possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree; maintain relevant past experience in Research and Analysis; are versatile in local dialects; are an experienced report writer and data collector; able to critically analyze information from different sources including information on the internet; you are a critical thinker; ability to plan and schedule; ability to interview; ability to work independently as well as travel as needed this job could be for you!
