Visit Bhutan and National Reading Year 2015!

An eventful year ahead indeed! The Royal Government of Bhutan has declared 2015 as Visit Bhutan Year to celebrate the 60th birth anniversary of His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. Bhutan will also commemorate the events by observing National Reading Year to develop a national reading strategy to instil a healthy reading habit by establishing e-Libraries in all Districts.

  1. A year long event calendar is out and the celebration will be done throughout the country. The aim of this tourism year is to share the benefit of tourism throughout the country.

  2. Reading is actually learning. Something always remains after you have read something.I wish our children would read half as much as they watch TV or surf the Net. And they might be wiser for it.
    A very good effort initiating a national reading year. Not only children but adults will also benefit or at least they will go back to reading not only their official reports but also something worthwhile reading.
