The Bhutan Canada Foundation works to enhance learning opportunities within classrooms by making educational supplies more accessible. Supplies are in high demand, particularly in remote schools. With the help of global partners and individual donors BCF is committed to providing books, equipment and educational aids to schools to address this need.
Through a generous gift of educational supplies from David & Debby Beatty, as well as a donation of shipping space from Mark La Prairie, BCF sent free reading books and essential classroom supplies such as chart paper, math manipulatives, coloured markers, finger paint, hand puppets, plasticine, and dictionaries, to students in the Special Education Needs program at Mongar Lower Secondary School.
With shipping assistance from Canadian based construction company, Armtec, and a donation of books from Shirley-Dale Easley and Penguin Canada, BCF sent 2,000 books to be distributed to public school libraries.
If you would like to donate supplies or shipping to benefit students in Bhutan please contact BCF at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (647) 233-6607 .
