Cushing Academy: Dreams of Bhutan

In a few days time, several members of Cushing Academy, a coeducational secondary school just outside of Boston, MA, will be heading to Bhutan as part of an educational initiative known as Dreams of Bhutan.

Cushing Academy hopes to establish an educational linkage with the country of Bhutan, having the honour of His Majesty, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck as an alumnus, graduating in 1999.

Seven members of the Cushing community, including three educators and four students, will spend three weeks undertaking an in-depth cultural immersion into the day-to-day life of the people of Bhutan. While there, they will get to attend class in local schools and meet our BCF teachers, undertake a service project, and experience the cultural life of the country through participating in a home stay and visiting traditional sites and Buddhist monasteries.

You can follow along with Cushing’s travels here at Dreams of Bhutan.
