So many introductions of so many wonderful and passionate teachers! One of these adventurous educators is Reese Ishmael who will be teaching English at Mongar LSS in Mongar.
Reese Ishmael grew up in the greater Seattle area of the United States. As a result of his parents’ careers and spending his middle school years in Rio de Janeiro, Reese took an early interest in international living and teaching. After earning his BA in Asian Studies from Whitman College and his TEFL certification in South Africa, he taught ESL in South Korea for two and a half years. He returned to the US to earn his MAT from the University of Northern Colorado then taught at the International School of Dakar, Senegal for the 2013-2014 school year. Reese has a deep affinity for other cultures, languages, teaching, and nature—all of which fuelled his desire to take part in BCF’s Teach in Bhutan program.
